All lessons are one-to-one. Everything on this page comes with the lesson rate, at no extra cost.
Adults and older teens learn for an hour; children learn in shorter, brighter sessions.

Adults & older teens

Included in the hourly rate for adult and older teen lessons.

Tools, included

  • Paid Zoom. No 40-minute cut-off, HD screen share, annotation and a stable connection.
  • In-house audio player. Slow the recording down or speed it up to match your listening level.
  • Custom flashcard sets. Ad-free, with unlimited access to every study mode including Learn mode.

Scheduling

  • Flexible schedule and rescheduling. Change your time through the booking tool or a simple message.
  • Cancelled sessions are credited. Cancel with advance notice and the cost of that session is subtracted from your next invoice.

Lesson content

  • Prepared program or customised roadmap. Follow the structured course, or build the lessons around your own goals.
  • Cultural context explained. Learn when, why and with whom Vietnamese people use each expression.
  • Northern or Southern dialect. Taught according to what each student needs, so you can travel and speak comfortably with people from either region.

After each lesson

  • Session notes. The chat log plus the focused content covered that day.
  • Materials and exercises for self-study. Practice between lessons, matched to what you have just learnt.

Support between lessons

  • Daily answers to Vietnamese questions. Ask any day about the language, Vietnamese culture, logistics, or multi-cultural relationship insights.
  • 24/7 WhatsApp group chat with other students. Subgroups currently focus on different topics, including food, Vietnamese language and everyday life.

Kids

Included in the rate for 30-minute Kids lessons.

Lesson content

  • 30-minute sessions. Short and lively, matched to how long a young learner stays focused.
  • Colourful custom slides. Every lesson is built on bright, playful visuals your child follows on screen.
  • Prepared program or customised roadmap. Follow the structured course, or build the lessons around your family's goals.
  • Cultural context explained. Your child learns the polite words, family terms and customs Vietnamese relatives will recognise.
  • Northern or Southern dialect. Taught according to what each child needs, so they can speak comfortably with family from either region.

After each lesson

  • Mini-tasks instead of homework. Small, meaningful tasks that give your child a reason to use Vietnamese with family members during the week.

For parents

  • Notes exchanged with parents. I message you about what your child did well and what we will focus on next.
  • Working with Children Check. I hold a current Working with Children Check in Western Australia.
