Hi, my name is Trang, a Vietnamese language instructor whose passion is about helping others to learn Vietnamese with whataver resources they have: time, money, motivation, attention span,… I believe that everyone faces a unique set of advantages - challenges both in life and in their study. Thus, personalised learning is crucial for sustainable improvement.
This belief didn’t come solely from textbooks, but also from experience. My journey teaching Vietnamese started in 2018 by complete coincidence. At that time, I was doing my post-graduate diploma in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) when I received a message on a language exchange app: someone asked for my help with his Vietnamese homework. Inspired by how my mother tongue is interpreted and cared for by someone from a vastly different cultural background, I decided to create an online profile offering to tutor tiếng Việt (Vietnamese). I didn’t think much about it but soon enough, more and more students found me. They come from all over the world, each with their own reasons for learning (travel, heritage, relocation,…), their own schedules, and their own pace. That’s when I realised: no two learners are the same, and no single method works for everyone.
Fast forward to now, my “work toolbox” includes a degree in Education, a degree in ICT (Information Communication Technology), and a couple of certificate/diploma in teaching Vietnamese and English as a second language. My biggest achievement is happy students across 20+ countries on 4 continents, ranging from kids to university professors, from school-attending students to retired grandparents, from short-term travelers to heritage seekers…
